To Our Friends:
After much thought, we have made the decision to transition our Sunshine St. location to a breakfast and lunch spot, closing at 3pm instead of our normal dinner time. This location has always been smaller and we created it with the knowledge that we would be flexible around how it operated. We have seen in the past years that this location has not been as dinner-heavy as our original location on Independence St. Between that and the difficult COVID-19 squeeze of making sure we're using our resources wisely, it makes most sense for us and for our staff to close this location at 3pm daily, beginning on Monday, March 1st. While we may be closing a few hours earlier, we hope you'll come to think of us as your go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, bread, pastries and coffee on Sunshine Street between the hours of 7AM and 3PM.
As with any change in operation, we know there might be a few rocky weeks as we figure things out and do our best to communicate to the public about this change. We hope you'll hang in there with us, give us grace as we wade into the shallow end here, and come see us while we're open on Sunshine St. between 7AM and 3PM. Our Independence St. location will continue to stay open for dinner. As of now, we're closing at 6pm, but as the weather warms up and the pandemic (hopefully) eases, we intend on pushing our hours back later to accommodate more dinner customers at this store. By the way, did you know our two locations are only 3 miles apart? So we hope if you're a Sunshine regular looking for an excellent dinner from Neighbor's Mill one night, you'll drive on down a few extra miles and see our friendly and welcoming staff on Independence St.
We do not take this decision lightly and we hope you'll understand this difficult choice as being for the best for Neighbor's Mill as we move forward and weather this season. We will begin our change in hours on Monday, March 1st. Please ask our staff if you have questions or concerns; we are happy to discuss this change with you! We look forward to serving you the same fantastic food, amazing bread, and freshly-baked goodies with the same level of excellence and quality you've come to expect from the Neighbor's Mill team.
